silwritersguild challenge #17: stereotypes
There is a permanent scowl on his face (otherwise he might be beautiful, like all Elves). His voice is not musical and his accent, all sharp-edged Noldorin, gives her native tongue a coarse, near-unintelligible flavour (he is no Finrod Felagund). His hair is a shock of black and his step is heavy and threatening (with no real attempt at grace). He is nothing like she imagined.
She is short and rather grubby, with wild, unkempt hair and man’s clothing and she has an unnerving light in her eyes. She is not used to no. She is just as he imagined.
